The 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class features a retractable hard top, a new and improved front end that includes the Mercedes star logo and small grilles on either side. In fact, the 2007 SLK-Class is evocative of the 2005 SLR McLaren, a super car among super cars. Overall, Mercedes designed the 2005 SLK-Class to look sporty, fast, aggressive, and much more powerful than its former incarnations.

At that they succeeded. The 2005 SLK350 comes complete with a 3.5 liter V-6 engine, which features two hundred sixty eight horsepower, a six speed manual gearbox and the option for a seven speed automatic transmission, which itself comes with Touch Shift capabilities. The engine itself also features variable valve timing, for both the intake valves and the exhaust valves.

The exterior of the 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class screams of power and speed, thanks to a sharp, arrow-shaped front end and the addition of three inches to both the length and the width. The windshield features a keen slope and the body lines are sleek, giving the impression that the car is fighting the wind for speed.

2006 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class

Although the 2006 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class is a small, sporty car designed to seat two people, it is surprisingly roomy, as well as comfortable.

The cabin of the car has a cozy feel, especially because of the presence of a folding hard top. However, there is more than enough space for two fair sized passengers to keep from getting in each other’s way – or even rubbing shoulders and elbowing one another. Although there is not a whole lot of room in the cabin area, there is ample storage space behind the seats and in the trunk.

Furthermore, the seats are supremely comfortable. They adjust in numerous directions, making for a comfortable ride no matter how long the trip. The interior is comprised of many different materials, including incredibly supple vinyl, silver trim against a darker background, carbon fiber, and aluminium.

Although any wood trim is absent when it comes to the standard models, there is a lovely Vavona wood trim package available as an option on the 2006 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class model.
